Denis S Ahearn, Sr.

Denis S. Ahearn, Sr.,  68, a resident of Port Chester died January 7, 2018. He was born in New York City on September 21, 1950 to the late Cornelius and Helene Seiz Ahearn. He was raised in New Rochelle, NY and Graduated from Iona Prep and received his Bachelor and Masters degree's from Iona College. Mr. Ahearn was a  Social Studies teacher for many years at Mamaroneck High School retiring in 2006. In retirement he devoted himself to educational advocacy using the online pen name DenisIan. 
He is survived by his wife Megan Monahan Ahearn of Port Chester, his sons Denis S. Ahearn, Jr. and wife Tierney of Woodbine, MD., Ian M. Ahearn and Helen Court of Rye, NY, and Brendan W. Ahearn of Rye, NY., brothers Brian X. Ahearn and wife Jo of Lakeland, Fl., Kevin Ahearn and wife Emma of Georgia and Rory Ahearn of Milford, CT. grandchildren Ryleigh, Shaylan, Aidan-Michael, Denis Qwynn, Cadeyrn B. and Ella Betrys.
Visitation will be 5-9PM on Thursday January 10, 2019 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc.  Mass of Christian Burial will be 10Am on Friday January 11, 2019 at Church of the Resurrection Boston Post Rd. Rye, NY. Interment is private
