Dionisio "Dennis" Sellas

Dionisio "Dennis" Sellas, 88 a longtime resident of Port Chester died peacefully surrounded by his family ay home on July 18, 2021. He was born November 11, 1932 in San Juan, Puerto Rico to the late Antonio and Gertrude Gonzalez Sellas. He was raised and educated in Puerto Rico and moved to the United States in 1951.  Mr. Sellas married Mary Sciavillo on September 5, 1954 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Port Chester.  He was employed for 38 years at Arnold's Bakery and retired in management.  Mr. Sellas served in the United States Army from 1952-1954 and was a Private 1st Class.  He was a parishioner of the Corpus Christi Church and a volunteer with the Port Chester-Rye Brook Ambulance Corp. 
He always had everyone laughing he truly was a jokester.
 He is survived by his devoted wife of 66 years Mary Sellas, which family and friends would say a true love story, of Port Chester, NY., his beloved children Dennis Sellas and his wife Patricia of Myrtle Beach, SC., and Rita Gianfrancesco-Fazio of Port Chester, NY., his loving granddaughters Christina Gianfrancesco and Angela Gianfrancesco and great granddaughter Kylee Marie Gourdine.  He was predeceased by 5 brothers and 1 sister.
Visitation will be 4-8PM on Tuesday July 20, 2021 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11AM on Wednesday July 21, 2021 at St. Paul RC Church 84 Sherwood Ave. Greenwich, CT., Interment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery Rye Brook, NY.
