Dolores Catanzaro, 97, a resident of Stamford, CT. and a former longtime resident of Port Chester, NY died April 7, 2026 at home surrounded by her loving family, longtime friend Father Tim, and Rosie her canine companion. She was born November 10, 1928 in Stamford, CT. to the late Emil and Mary Kraztek Faryniasz. She was raised and educated in Stamford graduating from Stamford High School.
Dolores was married on February 7, 1954 to Louis Catanzaro in Port Chester, NY. Mr. Catanzaro died in September 2016.
She retired after 30 years with AT&T, New York Telephone and Verizon.
Dolores was a devoted parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy Church in Port Chester and was a member of the church's Seton Circle.
She is survived by her beloved children Michael Catanzaro and his wife Allyson of Naples, Fl., James Catanzaro and his wife Kelly of Summerville, SC., Lisa Procaccini and her husband Declan of Sandy Hook, CT., William Catanzaro of Stamford, CT., and son in law Byron Coates of Boca Raton, FL., and many loving nieces and nephews.
Loving grandchildren include Angela Catanzaro (Crystal), Louis Catanzaro (Laura), Catherine Shorten (Brian), Rachael Coates, Taylor Coates (Jillian), Colton Procaccini, Aleigha Procaccini, Dominique Catanzaro, Alexandra Catanzaro, Joe Fortunato, Justin Fortunato, Matthew Fortunato and Laurie Fortunato.
Loving great grandchildren include Michael Catanzaro, Luciano Catanzaro, Gabriella Catanzaro, Aria Shorten, Logan Shorten, Mariah Fortunato, Lily Fortunato and "Baby Boy" Coates due May 2026.
Besides her husband Dolores was predeceased by her daughter Maria Coates and son Louis Catanzaro, Jr.
Visitation will be 2 - 6PM on Sunday April 12, 2026 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. in Port Chester and Mass of Christian Burial will be 10AM on Monday April 13, 2026 at Saint Paul RC Church 84 Sherwood Ave. Greenwich, Ct., Interment to follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery High St. Rye Brook, NY
