Domenick Tammaro, Jr.

Domenick Tammaro, Jr., 87, a lifelong resident of Port Chester died December 27, 2025. He was born March 1, 1938 in Port Chester to the late Domenick and Rose Casella Tammaro.  Domenick was raised and educated in Port Chester graduating from Port Chester High School.   

He was married on June 12, 1960 to Mary Ann Passero at Corpus Christi Church.  Domenick was an employee of the Village of Port Chester for 50 years and retired as Fleet Manager in 2010.
 

He was a parishioner of the Corpus Christi Church and previously was a parishioner of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church before the merger.
 

He is survived by his beloved wife Mary Ann Tammaro of Port Chester, NY, his dear children Paula McGovern and her husband Michael of Port Chester, NY, Domenick Tammaro and his wife Linda of New Rochelle, NY, and Michael Tammaro and his wife Melissa of Valhalla, NY; his adored grandchildren Jillian McGovern, Christopher McGovern, Conner McGovern, Jenna Tammaro, Mia Tammaro, Daniel Tammaro and Nicholas Tammaro. He also leaves behind his cherished dog, Brody.
 

He was predeceased by his brother Joseph Tammaro and sister Dolores Cicatelli.
 

He was the center of strength for his family. He enjoyed watching his family grow and being actively involved in all his grandchildren’s lives. He leaves his family a legacy of how to live a genuine life rooted in faith, taking pride in doing any task large or small with 100% effort and instilling the values of toughness, hard work, fairness and love. He knew how to enjoy life, especially when spending time with his friends and family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10AM on Friday January 2, 2026 at Corpus Christi Church 136 South Regent St. Port Chester, NY.  Entombment to follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery Rye Brook, NY.
 

Memorial donations in memory of Domenick may be made to Saint Jude's Children's Research Hospital Memphis, TN.
