Donna Marie Accurso James

Donna Marie Accurso James, 74, a resident of Simsbury, Ct. and formerly of Port Chester, NY died June 12, 2026. 

Donna was born November 24, 1951 in Port Chester, NY. She was raised and educated in Port Chester graduating from Port Chester High School. She later graduated from Pace University with a degree in Nursing. 

Donna was a teacher at Westmore Day Care Center in Port Chester, NY. She loved to teach and was known to many as "Mrs. Donna". She later became a Psychiatric Registered Nurse for New York Presbyterian Hospital in White Plains, NY for many years. 

She is survived by her only son Jason James; three grandchildren Jason A. James (Morgan), Dominique M. James (Alex), and Jeremiah James; two great grandchildren Mason Malcolm and Avery James, brother Edward Olson (Regina), sister Carol Waller (Wesley) and her nieces and nephews. 

She was predeceased by her mother Marie Olson and sister Judith Accurso Davis and step father Jack Bonelli.

A memorial gathering will be held on Monday June 29, 2026 from 11am-1pm at Craft Memorial Home, Inc.  Funeral service will follow at 1pm at the funeral home. Interment following at Greenwood Union Cemetery North St. Rye, NY

Repass will be held at The Polish Club, 250 Locust Avenue Port Chester, NY From 2:30 to 5:30.
