Earl E. Moore

Earl Eugene Moore of Stamford, Connecticut passed away peacefully on March 31, 2025.

Earl, son of the late Lucille Moore, born on October 18,1946 in Port Chester, NY. He spent his formative years in Port Chester, graduating from Port Chester High School.

After a short stint at Nationwide Insurance Company, Earl landed the job of a lifetime as a cameraman for American Broadcasting Company (ABC) in New York City. There he covered the 6pm and 11pm news as well as special assessments.

Earl loved his job and the camaraderie of his fellow crew mates. He retired from ABC after 30+ years of service.

Earl was known as a foodie amongst family and friends.  He was happy to share a meal and laughter with those he loved.  He also enjoyed listening to the music from the Motown era.

Earl was an only child, however he is survived by many first and second cousins who grew up like his siblings, including Lillian Bolling of Maryland, Jeanell Smith of Greenwich Connecticut, Jeffery Phillips of Mobile Alabama, Gregory Phillips of Los Angeles California, Jerry Phillips of Lake Mary Florida and Renee McGlasker of Mobile Alabama and his dear friends Cathy Garvey, Bobby Smith and Dorothy Lee.

A Graveside Service will be held 2:00PM on Monday April 28, 2025 at Greenwood Union Cemetery North St. Rye, New York
