Edwin Jamie Cacho Pinatelli

On Wednesday, March 1, 2023, Edwin Jaime Cacho Piñateli, passed away at the age of sixty-three. 

Edwin is survived by his mother Marcia Piñateli, his uncles and aunt: Jorge, Jose (with wife Tina), and Liliana; his brothers: Fabio (with wife Sara) and Brian; his cousins Francisco, Kevin and Caitlyn, his nephews and nieces: Melissa, Valeria, Karolina, Paola, Christian, Emily, Sofia, Ariana, Natalia, Andrew and Julianna. Edwin graduated from Port Chester High School and attended Mercy College. In his latter years, he worked for many years as a cab driver in Port Chester, NY. Edwin loved going to the beach and tanning under the sun, or swimming at the YMCA.  Edwin was born in Lima, Peru, and as an adult returned on many Summer seasons to enjoy the beaches of Lima, with family and childhood friends.

 Edwin also loved children, especially his nieces and nephews. He was always offering to take them to the park, to the beach or to the YMCA.  He was especially fond of Christian (his first nephew) and Ariana (whom he enjoyed caring for while her mom worked.) Edwin liked to play soccer when younger, and went along with his friends and teammates as they nicknamed him "Maradona".

Edwin, you leave a great void in our hearts, but it comforts us to know that at some point in the not too distant future, we will see each other again.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 7:00PM on Tuesday March 14, 2023 at Parish of Saint John Bosco (Corpus Christi) 136 South Regent St. Port Chester, NY
