Elizabeth LaRosa, 95, a lifelong resident of Port Chester died March 5, 2020. She was born July 27, 1924 in Port Chester with her twin sister Concetta to the late Thomas and Fina Sammarco LaRosa. She was a graduate of Port Chester High School in 1942 and the Berkley Secretarial School in New York City. Miss LaRosa started her career with the New York Daily News as a secretary and then became a columnist known as Sally Joy Brown. She retired in 1979. She was a devoted parishioner of the Our Lady of Mercy Church in Port Chester, NY. Miss LaRosa is survived by her beloved sisters, her twin Concetta LaRosa of Port Chester and Marie LaRosa Colangelo of Boonton Township, NJ, nieces and nephews Joan Praiss of Naples, Fl., Hon. John P. Colangelo of New Rochelle, NY., Janis Hoehn of Whippaney, NJ. and Ruth Anne Seifert of Downingtown, Pa, cousin Linda Sammarco Bassi of Nanuet, NY, 5 grand nieces and nephews and 4 great grand nephews She was predeceased by her brother Thomas LaRosa. Visitation will be 8:30AM on Tuesday March 10, 2020 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Mass of Christian Burial will follow 9:30AM at Parish of Saint John Bosco 260 Westchester Ave. Port Chester, NY. Interment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery Rye Brook. NY
