Elizabeth Naruszewicz was a fiercely caring and dedicated wife, mother, and friend. She departed prematurely from this world on May 15, 2024 at the age of 67, in the company of her adoring family.
Elizabeth was born in Poland on October 1, 1956 and immigrated to the United States in 1967 with her uncle and grandmother. They settled in Scarsdale where she finished high school in three years. She then went on to study Economics and Russian at Hunter College, earning her Bachelor's degree in 1978.
Since her youth, Elizabeth exercised her God-given talents for music and languages by dedicating nearly every weekend to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Port Chester, serving as an organist and vocalist in not only English and Polish but also Latin and Spanish. During the week, she worked diligently as an office administrator to support her family and her love for enriching experiences. When off the clock, she could often be found enjoying a nice cold beverage and a dramatic paperback novel at the lake shore.
A Mass of Christian burial will take place at Our Lady of the Lake Church in Carmel at 10:00AM on May 22, 2024. In honor of her love for animals, memorial contributions may be made to the ASPCA.
Elizabeth is survived by her loyal husband, Eugene, her only son, Arthur, and her beloved hound dog, Alex. She will be remembered for her dedication to her family, strength of character, and commitment to excellence at work and at home. She will be sorely missed.
