Florence "Tootsie" (Passero) Federico

Florence "Tootsie" Federico, lovingly known as "Aunt Toots" to so many, passed away on November 29, 2023, one month before her 102nd Birthday. Florence was born in Port Chester, NY on December 21, 1921 and a very proud resident for many years. She was married to Pat Federico on January 14, 1945, and they were married for 60 years and had two sons, John Federico and Joseph Federico. Florence was an inspiration and truly loved and admired by everyone who knew her. A woman of faith and a devoted parishioner and lector at Don Bosco Parish for years. She was a passionate volunteer and gave tirelessly at the Holy Rosary Food Pantry, a member of the Christian Mothers, Corpus Christi Church, Salvation Army Advisory Board and a member of the Port Chester Rye Brook Association for Special Citizens, which was very close to her heart. 

She was predeceased by her husband, Pat Federico, sons, John Federico and Joseph Federico, brother, Sam Passero, sister, Josephine Trifiletti and niece, Nina Trifiletti.

She is survived by her her  grand-daughter, Chrissy Mack, (husband Ron), great grandson, Ryan Mack, loving nieces, Mary Perillo, Hope Vespia, Faith Battista, Cindy Passero, first cousin, Mary Ann Tammaro and many more nieces, nephews, cousins and the dearest of friends, especially Kathy Caporizzo and Isabelle Birdsall. She was surrounded by loved ones and her favorite caregiver, Araceli Gonzalez, when she passed peacefully at Maplewood Senior Living in Norwalk, CT.  She loved her time there and will be dearly missed.

She is dancing at the Post Lodge in heaven with her husband Pat, sons John on the piano and Joe on the drums.

Visitation will be 9AM on Tuesday December 5, 2023 at Parish of Saint John Bocso (Our Lady of Mercy Church) 260 Westchester Avenue Port Chester, NY. A Mass of Christain Burial will follow at 10AM . Interment at Greenwood Union Cemetery Rye, NY.
