Genevieve (Aloia) Hood

Genevieve Hood where she resided in Bridgeport, CT with her daughter and her son n law but was formerly from Harrison, NY and lived in Port Chester, NY for almost 30 yrs died July 26, 2025.  She was born January 29, 1947 in Port Chester to the late Joseph and Rose Tramontano Aloia. She was raised and educated in Harrison and graduated from Harrison High School.. Genevieve was the widow of the late JB Hood who died November 2004. Mrs. Hood was a retired employee of the John F. Kennedy Elementary School in Port Chester, NY. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, listening to oldies, singing, dancing,  doing crossword puzzles, watching game shows, her stories like (General Hospital) and loved spending time with those she loved. 

She was loved by many people. She will be missed. 

She is survived by her daughter Lakisha Hood DaCosta and her husband Robert DaCosta of Bridgeport, CT, grandchildren Roberto Salvador DaCosta, Jr. and Layla Rose DaCosta, brother David Aloia of Port Chester, NY and sister Gloria Aloia of Port Chester, NY

Visitation will be 3-7PM on Saturday August 16, 2025 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Funeral Service will be 6:30PM at the funeral home.
