George T. Chuckas, 68, a resident of Somers, NY and a former longtime resident of Port Chester died peacefully on February 13, 2024. He was born October 1, 1955 in Brooklyn, NY to Letitia Schofield Chuckas and the late Theodore Chuckas. George graduated from Mamaroneck High School in 1977. George was a longtime member of Summerfield United Methodist Church in Port Chester. In 1973, George was a medal winner in swimming in the New York Special Olympics. He was known for his collection and passion for lighthouses and Star Wars. When you met him you didn’t forget him.
George is survived by his devoted mother Letitia Chuckas of Port Chester, NY., sister Denise Elliott and her husband Jeffrey of Ridgefield, CT., brother Thomas Chuckas and his wife Lynn of Norwalk, Ct., nephew Connor Elliott and niece Carly Elliott.
Funeral services were private.
