Henry Gordon Jr, 80, of Port Chester, NY and formerly Lowndes County Alabama, transitioned on April 16,2020 in the comfort of his home.
Henry was born on January 26, 1940 to Henry Gordon (Father) & Eva Mae McCord (Mother) of Lowndes County Alabama.
After attending high school Henry fell in Love, and married Pearl Mae(Myles)Gordon. The newlyweds decided to move to Port Chester, New York where life for them begin to blossom. Together they created seven wonderful children. Henry had a daughter from a previous relationship. Geraldine Gordon of White Plains, New York, Gilbert Gordon (Sharon) of Port Chester, New York, Henry Lee Gordon (Alicia) of Lowndes County Alabama, Bernice Martin of Montgomery, Alabama, Jody Gordon (Andrea) of Florida, Shirley Ann Gordon of Port Chester, New York, George Gordon(Rita) of Port Chester, New York, James Earl Gordon (Tamara) of Port Chester, New York. Henry and Pearl raised two of their grandchildren, as there own Jody Gordon Jr of York, PA, Dashaa Gordon of Port Chester, New York
In 1970, Henry started his life time career at Greenwich
Hospital, as a maintenance man. About 17 years ago, Henry decided it was time to retirement from the place he was able to provide for his family Greenwich Hospital.
Henry enjoyed spending time with family, grandchildren and friends. During his spare time he would work on boats and cars. He loved watching comedy movies, western movies and cooking.
Henry is preceded in death by his parents, Henry Gordon (Father), Eva Mae McCord (Mother),Pearl Mae Gordon (wife), Gilbert Gordon (son) and Shirley Ann Gordon (daughter)
The legacy of Henry Gordon Jr, will continue by those left behind to cherish his memories. Henry will never be forgotten by his living sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, 28 grandchildren, 21 Great grandchildren, 3 Great Great grandchildren, uncles, aunts and cousins.
Due to COVID19 we are unable to gather to celebrate the man BIG HANK, MR. G, MR. GORDON, GRAMPS, POPS. A memorial will take place at a later date.
