James F Farrington, Jr.

James F. Farrington, Jr., 83, a longtime resident of Port Chester died July 31, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was born August 24, 1937 in White Plains, NY., to the late James and Ruth Boyce Farrington.  He was raised and educated in White Plains graduating from White Plains High School in 1955.  He served in the United States Marine Corps and was a Sergeant.  Mr. Farrington was married May 5, 1957 to Barbara Slocum.  Mrs. Farrington died September 12, 2020.  He was a Traffic Manager for Gilbert and Bennett Trucking in Georgetown, CT., Mr. Farrington is survived by his beloved children Linda Poccia and husband Frank of Larchmont, NY.,  Scott Farrington of Port Chester, NY., Tracy Mignone of New Milford, CT., Patti Farrington-Debes and husband Gary of New Milford, CT., and Karen Liberi and husband Albert of Nokomis, FL., grandchildren Erica Poccia, Rachel Poccia, Connor Mignone and Abbi Debes, brothers Ard Farrington of Rye, NY. and David Farrington of Fishkill, NY. Besides his wife he was predeceased by his sister Jack Lee Cooney
A graveside service will be held 11:45AM on Wednesday August 4, 2021 at Greenwood Union Cemetery North St. Rye, NY.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
