James Joseph Roach Jr. decorated Korean War Veteran and Purple Heart recipient, born July 18, 1930, Portchester NY to the late Frances Wing Roach and James Roach entered into rest on Saturday Aug 21. He was predeceased by his loving wife Bridget of 70 years, his children, Gail and Billy and grandchild, Michael and great grandchild, Frank. He is survived by his two remaining children and grandchildren.
He was a dedicated Marine Corp Veteran and member of his local VFW in Wallkill, NY. He retired from Pitney Bowes after 25 years as a Field Service Engineer and though an amputee, could fix anything!
He was passionate about his family’s Millbrook farm and the life experiences it offered him in his youth which he carried over to his retirement/gentleman’s farm; tending to goats, horses, dogs, cats and the various wildlife encountered on Stately Oaks.
"He will be sadly missed by all those who loved him"
Visitation will be 11AM to 12noon on Friday August 27, 2021 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. A funeral service will follow at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery Rye Brook, NY
In lieu of flowers, Donations to The Wounded Warrior Project would be greatly appreciated.
