Jeffrey A. Whalen, 61, a resident of Port Chester, NY died May 30, 2026. He was born on April 23, 1965 in Mount Vernon, NY to John Whalen and the late Madeline DeSimeo Whalen. He was raised and educated in Pelham. Jeffrey was the assistant produce manager of Food Emporium which became Acme in Rye Brook, NY and was still working at the time of his death. He was the widower of Christine DeLago who died in 2009
Jeffrey was an avid fisherman.
He is survived by his father John Whalen of Tavernier, Fl., brothers and sisters John Whalen and his wife Maureen of Melbourne, Fl., Marie Whalen of Yonkers, NY., Gary Whalen of Rye, NY and Dorothy Rohweder and her husband Bob of Cottage Grove, MN, niece Amanda Beers and husband Dan of Hamden, Ct., and Christopher Whalen and wife Dakota of Tennessee, Also survived by great nieces, brother in law Al Passerelle and wife Nancy of Shelton, Ct.
Also survived by his dear sister in law Ann Dzilinski and his niece Lauren Dzilinski both of Port Chester, NY.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10AM on Friday June 5, 2026 at Corpus Christi Church 136 South Regent St. Port Chester, NY. Interment to follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery Rye Brook, NY.
In Lieu of flowers memorial donations in memory of Jeffrey may be made to Saint Jude's Children's Research Hospital Memphis, TN.
