Jerome "Jerry" Sampino Obituary

Jerome J. "Jerry" Sampino, 88, a resident of Port Chester died February 5, 2019. He was born November 26, 1930 in Yonkers, NY to the late Frank and Florence Jaconia Sampino. He was raised and educated in Yonkers. Mr. Sampino served in the United States Army in Korea during the Korean War. He received the Korean Service Medal with two Bronze Stars and the United Nations Service Medal. Jerry was the widower of Patricia Acocella who died July 17, 2009. They were married September 9, 1956 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Port Chester.  He was a driver for UPS in Port Chester and was also a school bus driver for Resurrection School and Rye Country Day School.  He is survived by his children Joseph Sampino and Lori Civitella, grandchildren Frank, Lacey, Lyric, Joey and Cristy, great grandchildren Layla, Amber, Jayden, Leeanna and Miah, sisters Tedy Heinz and Jean Murray. He was also predeceased by his brother Frank Sampino and sister Sugar Mazzarese.  Visitation will be 4-8PM on Thursday February 7, 2019 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc,  A graveside service will be held 10:30AM on Friday February 8, 2019 at Saint Mary's Cemetery Rye Brook, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Veterans of Westchester P.O. Box 71 Eastchester, NY 10709
