John J Magri

John J. Magri, 89, a resident of Rye Brook, NY. passed away August 4, 2021. He was born December 14, 1931 in Philadelphia, PA. to the late John and Margaret Gallo Magri. He was lovingly raised by Joseph and Malina Salvatore in Port Chester, NY.  He graduated from Port Chester High School in 1950. After high school he enlisted in the United States Navy where he served for four years.  Mr. Magri was married to Nadine Healy on December 11, 1954 in Virginia.  He was a manager with the New York Telephone Company where he retired in 1990 after many years of service. John was a parishioner of the Corpus Christi Church, a member of the Port Chester Knights of Columbus and a member of the Telephone Pioneers. He was a devoted husband and father.  John is survived by his beloved wife Nadine Magri of Rye Brook, NY., his sons Clifford Magri and his wife Maria of Dix Hills, NY., Jeffrey Magri and his wife Laura of Brewster, NY. and Jonathan Magri and his wife Laura of Wantagh, NY.,  grandchildren Kimberly Escobar, Victoria Magri, Jackson Magri, Leah Magri, J.T. Magri, Alyssa Magri and Samantha Magri, great grandchildren Mia Escobar and Elizabeth Escobar. He was predeceased by his brother Rocco Salvatore and sisters Theresa Licare and Mildred Melillo
Visitation will be 11AM-1PM on Monday August 9, 2021 at the Craft Memorial Home, Inc.  Funeral Service will follow at 1PM at the funeral home. Entombment at Saint Mary's Cemetery Rye Brook, NY. Memorial donations in memory of Mr. Magri may be made to the Saint Jude's Children's Hospital Memphis, TN.
