John "Jan" Kruczkiewicz

John “Jan” Kruczkiewicz, 95 a resident of Port Chester, NY passed away peacefully on March 27, 2023.
He was born on August 26, 1927 in Dlugie, Poland, to the late Maria (Wojcik) and Szymon Kruczkiewicz.
He was raised and educated In Poland. He served in the Polish Army, a service of which he was very proud. He married Krystyna Uczen in her hometown of Nowosielce in 1953. He immigrated to the United States in 1962. He was employed at Electrolux Corporation in Old Greenwich, CT until its closure in 1985. He was also a Self-Employed Landscape Contractor for more than 40 years. He was an active parishioner in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and a long-time member of the Polish United Club. John was very proud of his Polish heritage, he could often be found reading the Polish newspaper from cover to cover, and then quizzing his family on geography and current events. He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and helping his children with renovating their homes. He instilled in his children a strong work ethic. He also enjoyed spending time with his cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was very proud of their scholastic achievements and professional accomplishments.
John is survived by his wife of 70 years Krystyna Kruczkiewicz (Uczen), sons Mitch Kruczkiewicz and John Kruczkiewicz (Stefanie), daughter Anna Provenzano (Anthony); Grandchildren Andrew Kruczkiewicz, Kristin Caputo (Pepe), Kara Freedman (Justin), Erika Lawton, Nicole Provenzano and Anthony Provenzano, Jr.; Great-Grandchildren Gabriella Caputo and Gavin and Julia Freedman. He was predeceased by his son Andrew Kruczkiewicz and grandson Michael Kruczkiewicz.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Visitation will be 4-8 PM on Monday April 3, 2023 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10AM on Tuesday April 4, 2023 at Corpus Christi Church 136 South Regent St. Port Chester, NY. Internment to follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery Rye, NY
