John W. "Pepe" Rockey, 78, a resident of Rye Brook and a longtime resident of Port Chester died November 21, 2021. He was born December 5, 1942 in Port Chester to the late John and Violet Hosey Rockey. He was raised and educated in Port Chester graduating from Port Chester High School. He served in the United States Air Force. John was a 40 year career firefighter for the Village of Port Chester retiring in 2011 and was also a bank teller for the Bank of New York. He was a 50 year member of the Harry Howard Hook and Ladder Co. #1 and was a past captain and past treasurer. John also served with the City of Rye Auxiliary Police Department and was a past Lieutenant. He is survived by his nephews John F. Lee and his wife Krissy of Northville, NY, Rob Lee and Ethan Lee. He was predeceased by his sister Debby Grass.
Visitation will be 4-8PM on Monday November 29, 2021 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Funeral Service will be 10AM on Tuesday November 30, 2021 at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery Rye, NY.
