Jose Sundheim Obituary

Jose M. Sundheim, 88, a longtime resident of Port Chester, NY died September 25, 2025 surrounded by his family. He was born April 10, 1937 in Colombia to the late Mariano and Clara Amariz Sundheim.  He was raised and educated in Colombia and immigrated to the United States in 1959. Before he immigrated to the United States, he was a Merchant Marine for many years in Colombia. 

Mr. Sundheim was married on August 28, 1969 in Port Chester to Beatriz Ramos.  He was a HVAC  Technician for the Rye Town Hilton for many years and then at the Westchester Country Club until he retired. 

He is survived by his devoted wife Beatriz Sundheim of Port Chester, NY., his beloved children Ivan Sundheim and his wife Elba of Spring, TX., Edwin Sundheim and his wife Michelle of Port Chester, NY., and Joseph Sundheim and his wife Ximena of Rye Brook, NY., 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.  He was predeceased by his brother Adolfo Sundheim and sister Sonia Sundheim.

Visitation will be 4-8PM on Monday September 29, 2025 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc.  Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30AM on Tuesday September 30, 2025 at Parish of Saint John Bosco (Our Lady of Mercy) 260 Westchester Ave. Port Chester, NY. Entombment to follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery Rye Brook, NY
