Joseph C. Antalec, 99, a longtime resident of Port Chester died January 23, 2024. He was born June 10, 1924 in Newark, NJ., to the late Andrew and Mary Eichenlaub Antalec. He was raised and educated in New Jersey.
Joseph served in the United States Army during World War II in the European Theater. He participated in the D Day invasion at Omaha Beach.
He was an engineer for RCA in Harrison, NJ for many years. Joseph was married June 8, 2001 at Graymoor to Margaret Reilly. He was the widower of the late Anna Antalec who died in 1996.
Joseph was a devoted parishioner of the Parish of Saint John Bosco (Corpus Christi). He was also active with Pet Rescue in Larchmont, NY.
Joseph is survived by his devoted wife Margaret Reilly of Port Chester, NY. He was predeceased by his brother Franklin Antalec, sister Marie Hogarth and step son Edward Olsen.
A Memorial Mass will be held 10:30AM Wednesday January 31, 2024 at Parish of Saint John Bosco (Corpus Christi) 136 South Regent St. Port Chester, NY.
A committal service will be held in the spring at Calverton National Cemetery Calverton, LI, NY
