Joseph Pavone, 90, a lifelong resident of Port Chester died December 28, 2022. He was born July 8, 1932 in Port Chester to the late Frank and Frances Vita Pavone. He was raised and educated in Port Chester graduating from Port Chester High School in 1950. He served in the United States Navy from 1950 to 1953 and graduated from the Navy School of Music in Washington, DC and served in the US Navy Band. Joseph was married to Marion Angiolillo on June 3, 1956 at Corpus Christi Church in Port Chester, NY.
He retired from the Port Chester Public Schools from the maintenance and custodial staff. Prior to that he worked at Frank Pavone Leather and Shoe Findings in Port Chester, Greenwich Hardware, Rye Ridge Hardware and Korvettes Department Store.
He was a devoted parishioner of the Corpus Christi Church, a 4th Degree member of the Port Chester Knights of Columbus and the United Federation of Musicians. He played trombone since grade school and was well known for playing at weddings and other events throughout New York and Connecticut.
Mr. Pavone is survived by his devoted wife Marion Pavone of Port Chester, NY., beloved sons Father Frank Pavone of Titusville, Fl. and Joseph Pavone of Rye Brook, NY and uncle Al Vita of Port Chester, NY. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brother John Pavone.
Visitation will be 1-4PM & 6-8PM on Monday January 2, 2022 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM on Tuesday January 3, 2022 at Parish of Saint John Bosco (Corpus Christi) 136 South Regent St. Port Chester, NY. Entombment to follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery Rye Brook, NY
