Joseph Viglotto, 64, born to Lawrence and Anna Jean Viglotto, passed away on November 9, 2020.
Joseph was born and raised in Port Chester, NY and graduated from Port Chester High School. He was an active participant of the Westchester Association of Retarded Citizens for many years. Joseph was also a proud Olympian and participated in the First World Winter Special Olympics Steamboat Springs, CO 1977, where he won a Bronze medal in Cross Country Skiing. In 1999 Joseph and his mother moved to Marietta, Georgia where he began a 10-year career working at Kroger, Co.
Joseph was loved by all that met him and is survived by his nieces and nephews - Laura Repaci, Donna and Steven Mallet, Vincent and Giovanna Repaci, Kara and Bradley Repaci, Brian, Julie, and Jessica Mallet, and James Repaci. He is predeceased by his parents, Lawrence and Anna Jean, and his sister, Teresa Kidd.
A private graveside service is planned to be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the organizations that supported Joseph and his family through the years – Next Step Ministries in Woodstock, GA – Nextstepministries.net and the SpecialOlympics.org.
