Kazimiera (Pokornicki) Marczak

Kazimiera Marczak, 92, a long-time resident of Port Chester, died on May 3, 2022.  She was born on March 4, 1930 in Gaski, Poland to the late Franciszek and Helena (Deptula) Pokornicki.  She worked as a seamstress, training apprentices.  She was married to the late Jozef Marczak, who died in 2008.   After immigrating to the US in 1968, she worked in food service and housekeeping.  Mrs. Marczak was an active parishioner in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and a member of the Polish United Club in Port Chester.  She enjoyed gardening, sewing and cooking.  Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Manuli of Port Chester and Hanna Prytko and her husband John of Willington, CT; her grandchildren Christopher Manuli and his wife Samantha of Norwalk ,CT, Mathew Manuli of Port Chester, NY and Helena Prytko of Willington, CT; her great-grandchildren Emma and Joseph Manuli; her brothers Czeslaw Pokornicki of Port Chester, NY and Stanislaw Pokornicki of Pionki, Poland; and many loving friends and family members. 

Visitation will be 4-8 PM on Monday, May 9, 2022 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 AM on Tuesday May 10, 2022 at the Parish of Saint John Bosco (Corpus Christi Church), 136 South Regent Street, Port Chester, NY.  Interment will follow at Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Rye Brook, NY. 

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
