Knute J. Numme

Knute J. Numme, 90 a resident of Rye Brook, NY died May 8, 2023. He was born March 26, 1933 in Greenwich, CT. to the late Ivar and Signora Granword Numme. He was raised and educated in Port Chester graduating from Port Chester High School in 1951, he went onto graduate from Iona College.  Knute served in the United States Navy from 1951-1955.  He was married July 17, 1955 to Rina Zimbalatti.  He was a devoted parishioner of the Parish of Saint John Bosco in Port Chester where he served as a Eucharistic Minister for 29 years. He was a member of the Holy Name Society and started the Right to life Committee.

He was a devoted and loving husband and father to wife Rina and sons Stephen and Chris and daughter Pamela.  He was a loyal and devoted brother to Kaare, Rolfe, Ivar Jr., Randi Petrovich and Elna Barrese all deceased.

To those who knew him best, he would do anything to make you smile. In his eyes the most valuable thing had no price, life was measured by memento's of laughter, love and everlasting friendships and his love of GOLF.

A father and a wonderful husband are the unsung hero-how they live their life are the most valuable life lessons-and just watching how a man lives, is the lesson in itself.

Per his wishes all arrangements are private

A Memorial Mass will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Saint Jude's CHildren's Reseach Hospital or to the Tunnel To Towers Foundation.
