Obituary
Lois M. Balfe, 96, a resident of Rye Brook, NY died April 4, 2022. She was born January 4, 1926 in Greenwich, CT to the late Walter and Louise DeMarkey Hansen. She was raised and educated in Greenwich and graduated from Greenwich High School in 1944. Lois was married in Maryland in 1947 to Morgan Balfe. Mr. Balfe died in 1980. She was an administrative assistant at Texaco Corporation in Harrison, NY. She retired in 1996. She was an active member of the Jehovah Witness of Port Chester, NY for more than 50 years. Mrs. Balfe is survived by her son Michael Balfe and his wife Sharon of Saratoga Springs, NY. and daughter Sue Balfe of Rye Brook, NY., grandchildren Brian Balfe and Christine Landers, great grandchildren Braelyn Gunthrop, Katlyn Landers, Gaige Landers and Donavan Dixon, great great grandchildren Ariea Dixon and Zoey Dixon. Besides her husband she was predeceased by her sisters Shirley Sudell and Thelma Mitchell.
