Lorelei Gallo Obituary

Lorelei Gallo, 82, a resident of Port Chester, NY died February 6, 2022.  She was born July 9, 1939 in Port Chester, NY to the late Lawrence and Claire (Bubbico) Mulinare.  She was raised and educated in Harrison, NY graduating from Harrison High School in 1957.  Lorelei was married to Victor P. Gallo at Saint Gregory the Great Church in Harrison and they had 61 wonderful years together.  Mr. Gallo recently died September 29, 2021.  Mrs. Gallo was a homemaker, mother and a former administrative receptionist for Dr. John Ettenson in Rye Brook, NY.  She was a parishioner of Corpus Christi Church and her children attended Corpus Christi elementary school. While they were there she was an active volunteer including time teaching sewing. During those years she was also active with Port Chester Cub Scouts and was on the Westchester-Putnam county round table commission for over four years.  Mrs. Gallo was also a bowler on the night leagues at the former Ridge Bowl and had many a bowling pin trophy for high scores over 200.
Mrs. Gallo loved to cook and found so much pleasure having her children and her grandchildren over as often as possible for great Italian meals. She loved to whip up a pot of “gravy” and meatballs with some macaroni or chicken cutlets and gather her family around the table. She always made more than enough food and always had plenty to share. Mrs. Gallo also enjoyed socializing and looked forward to get togethers with neighbors in her condo community or around their pool in the summer months. She had a big extended family and was always ready for a BBQ, birthday, graduation party and holiday celebrations and was the first one to say what she would make! She and her husband enjoyed many overnight trips to the Connecticut Casinos as well as Atlantic City.  She especially relished those trips when shared with her sister-in-law Jeannette and husband Larry. They also together spent many fall Saturdays attending her son’s and then her grandson’s High School football games. Over the years they had the opportunity to travel to Florida, Georgia, Delaware, Las Vegas and California.
Mrs. Gallo is survived by her beloved children Maryann Hayduk and her husband Tom of Trumbull, CT, Linda Prescott and her husband Bob of New Bern, NC, Steven Gallo and his wife Jamie of West Hollywood, CA, her grandchildren Christopher Prescott, Jessica Hayduk, Ryan Prescott, TJ Hayduk, Kendall Gallo and Ansley Gallo, sisters Delores Clark of Millsboro, DE, Laura-Jo Matheny of Gainesville, FL and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband she was predeceased by her twin sister Lillian Greason and sister Lorraine Passarelli.
