Lourdes Brown (Luding, Ludy), a former resident of Stamford, CT passed away peacefully on January 20th, 2021, at the age of 95 years. She was born on April 2, 1925 in Pulilan, Bulacan, Philippines to the late Vitaliano Santamaria and Gregoria Dalmacio.
Lourdes the eldest amongst 10 siblings is survived by Azucena Figueroa, Marianellia San Diego and Wellington Santamaria. Her son Nowell Emano, daughter Jennifer Mutino and 5 grandchildren Kayla Emano, Kyle Emano, Gabriella Mutino, Jack Mutino, Cara Emano. She is predeceased by her son Michael Emano, daughter Amor Magbitang, former late husband James Brown and first husband Alfredo Emano.
Lourdes was a graduate of University of Santo Tomas, the Catholic University of the Philippines and worked as a Social Studies Teacher for 21 years at the Manuel A. Roxas High School in Manila Philippines. Upon immigrating to Stamford CT in 1971, Lourdes worked in the accounting department at GE for 24 years until her retirement in 1988.
Lourdes was a devoted Mother and Grandmother with many passions. She loved to cook, spend her days fishing with her cousins and friends. When she was not fishing, she could be found tending to her meticulous gardens and pristine yard. Lourdes will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.
Visitation will be 4-8PM on Monday January 25, 2021 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. in Port Chester, NY
A memorial mass will be celebrated followed by with an interment on a later date this year.
