Mamie Ceraso, 90, a longtime resident of Rye Brook, NY passed away peacefully in her home on January 16, 2024. Mamie was born March 14, 1933 in Italy to the late Antonio and Antoinette Ansana Pauletti. She immigrated to the United States at 6 months of age and was raised and educated in Port Chester. She was married on November 18, 1951 to Thomas Ceraso. Mr. Ceraso died October 3, 2021. Mamie worked beside her husband in the family business, Ridge Service Station, for over 50 years before they retired. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Mamie is survived by her sons Thomas Ceraso, Jr. and his wife Patricia of Stamford, CT and Gary Ceraso of Easton, CT, grandchildren Garett Ceraso, Gregory Ceraso and Alisha Ceraso Lindstrom and her husband Richard and 5 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Marie Larobina, of Stamford, CT, brother Philip Pauletti of Port Chester, NY, niece Paulette Caroleo of Long Island, NY and many other nieces and nephews.
Beside her husband she was predeceased by her granddaughter Amanda Ceraso, brothers John Pauletti and Salvatore Pauletti and sisters Frances Muto and Theresa Stephansen.
The family wishes to thank her compassionate and devoted home care aides Elizabeth Gakure and Diana Althinja who tirelessly cared for both Mamie and her husband.
Visitation will be 10AM to 11:30AM on Thursday January 18, 2024 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Funeral Service will follow at 11:30AM at the funeral home. Interment Greenwood Union Cemetery Rye, NY
