Marie C. (LaBella) Sorbara

Marie C. Sorbara, 92, a lifelong resident of Port Chester died April 27, 2026.  She was born March 1, 1934 in Port Chester, NY to the late William and Sadie Sabia LaBella.  Marie was raised and educated in Port Chester graduating from Port Chester High School in 1952.  She was married to Ernesto Sorbara on October 16, 1955 at Holy Rosary Church in Port Chester.   Mr. Sorbara died November 15, 2013.

Marie was the secretary for many years for the Priests for Life Organization.  She was a parishioner of the Corpus Christi Church in Port Chester and was active at the Port Chester Seniors and volunteered at United Hospital.

She is survived by her beloved children Leonard Sorbara and his wife Lisa of Norwalk, Ct., Rosmary DeRuvo and her husband Nicholas of Airmont, NY., Sandra DiPietro and her husband Joseph of Stamford, Ct. and Maria Schaab and her husband Robert of New Haven, Ct., grandchildren Christopher DeRuvo (Dorianne), Alyssa DeRuvo, Taylor DeRuvo, Kayla DeRuvo, Ryan DiPietro, Haley DiPietro, Shawn DiPietro, Andrew Sorbara (Kelsey), Matthew Sorbara (Gianna), Emily Sorbara, Gaby Schaab and Jenna Schaab and 

great grandson Harrison DeRuvo.

Besides her husband she was predeceased by her brother Paul LaBella and sister Catherine Vincoli.

Visitation will be 4-8PM on Thursday April 30, 2026 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc.  Mass of Christian Burial will be 10AM on Friday May 1, 2026 at Church of the Resurrection Boston Post Rd. Rye, NY. Entombment to follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery North St. Greenwich, Ct.
