In Loving Memory of Marilyn Gendalia
January 26, 1934 – April 22, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved matriarch, Marilyn Gendalia, who left this world peacefully on April 22, 2025 surrounded by the love of her family. Born on January 26, 1934, Marilyn was the cherished wife of the late Frank Gendalia. They were married on April 25 1954 in Corpus Christi Church. She was the loving daughter of the late Rose and Charles Santoro, and the dear sister of the late Dominick Santoro and his wife Annamay.
A devoted mother, she is survived by her three children: Christy Gendalia, Frank Gendalia, and Rosemary Matthews and her husband Eugene. Her love and warmth extended to her grandchildren: Ali Paterno and her husband Brett, Justine Silagi and her husband Alex, and Ryan Matthews and his wife Jacki.
She took great joy in her role as great-grandmother to Brayden Matthews Tyler Matthews, Camden Paterno, Hunter Paterno and Graham Silagi. Her greatest pride was her family, and she will be remembered for her unwavering love, her generous heart, and the strength and grace with which she lived her life.
Marilyn’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered.

Visitation will be 5-8PM on Thursday April 24, 2025 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10AM on Friday April 25, 2025 at Corpus Christi Church 136 South Regent St. Port Chester, NY. Interment to follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery North St. Rye, NY
