Maria (Mary) Napolitano Ciancio, 69, from Shelton CT entered into rest February 2, 2023, after a long courageous battle with cancer. Mary was born in San Fili, Italy to Francesco and Rosaria (Sarina) Gentile Napolitano. She arrived in America with her family in 1955. They settled in New Rochelle NY surrounded by a large, loving family. Mary met her husband Tony 48 years ago, they married shortly after and started a family.
Mary was fiercely devoted to her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend and always enjoyed socializing with them.
Some of her many talents included crafting, creating, cooking, baking. She loved decorating and adding her personal touch to everything. She was kind and loving and adored her family above everything. She had an sincere love of animals and rescued countless cats and kittens in her life. Animals knew her gentle soul, and always gravitated to her.
She was predeceased by her father, Francesco Napolitano, her mother Sarina Napolitano, her brother Carmine Napolitano, her beloved son, Justin Ciancio and brother-in-law Frank Ciancio. Survivors include her husband Anthony (Tony) Ciancio, son Vincent Ciancio and his wife Nhi, son Anthony Ciancio and his partner Crystal, grandson Colton Ciancio, sister Gina Landi (Joseph), sister in laws RoseAnne Ciancio, Kathy Ciancio and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 9am-11am on Monday February 6, 2023 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Mass of Christian Burial will follow 11:30am at Saint Paul Catholic Church 84 Sherwood Ave. Greenwich, CT. Entombment to follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery Rye Brook, NY
In Lieu of Flowers Memorial donations in her memory may be made to the American Lung Association or your local pet shelter.
