Mary C. (O'Connor) Jones

Mary C. Jones, 92, a longtime resident of Port Chester, NY died November 27, 2024 at Greenwich Hospital surrounded by her loving family.  She was born February 25, 1932 in Ireland to the late Patrick and Margaret Fox O'Connor. Mary was raised and educated in County Trim, Ireland and immigrated to the United States  at the age of 17.  She married Ralph Jones on May 12, 1956 at Holy Rosary Church in Port Chester.  Mr. Jones died February 21, 1995.  Mary was a homemaker and a devoted wife and mother.  She was a current parishioner of the Saint Paul RC Church in Greenwich, CT.  Mary is survived by her beloved children Thomas P. Jones of Hamden, Ct., and Maureen Whalen and her husband John of Melbourne, Fl., grandchildren Christopher Thomas Whalen and his wife Dakota and Amanda Rose Whalen, great granddaughter Anastasia Therese Whalen. sisters Bridget Bernadette Curran of Stamford, CT., and Philomena Clinton of County Cork, Ireland. Besides her husband she was predeceased by her brothers Laurence O'Connor and Thomas O'Connor and sisters Anne Cassell and Margaret O'Connor.

Visitation will be 3-7PM on Monday December 2, 2024 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11AM on Tuesday December 3, 2024 at Saint Paul RC Church 84 Sherwood Ave. Greenwich, CT.  Interment to follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery Rye Brook, NY.
