Mary Elizabeth (Jenter) Wharton

Mary Elizabeth Wharton, 93, a resident of Rye Brook, NY died July 15, 2023 at home surrounded by her family.  She was born October 1, 1929 in the Bronx, NY to the late Louis and Anna Madigan Jenter.  She was raised and educated in the Bronx.  She was married to Edward Francis Wharton on January 7, 1950 in the Bronx. 

Mrs. Wharton was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister-in-law and everyone’s favorite aunt.  She is survived by her beloved children, daughter Patricia Broderick and her husband Christopher and son Michael Wharton, grandchildren Michael Wharton, Christopher Wharton, Tracy Wharton, Crystal Wharton, Taylor Wharton and Jacqueline Broderick, great grandchildren Lilliana and Tristan, sister Ruth Ardolino and brother James Jenter, and her nieces and nephews whom she adored. She was predeceased by her husband and seven siblings. She was known to all who loved her as our “Angel Mary”. 
Visitation will be 4-8PM on Tuesday July 18, 2023 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc.  Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30AM on Wednesday July 19, 2023 at Parish of Saint John Bosco (Our Lady of Mercy) 360 Westchester Ave. Port Chester, NY. Interment to follow at Saint Raymond's Cemetery, Bronx. NY.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mrs. Wharton may be made to the Saint Jude's Children's research Hospital Memphis, TN.
