Mary Ellen Peterson

Mary Ellen Peterson, 57, a lifelong resident of Port Chester, died after a short illness on February 19, 2023 surrounded by her family. She was born January 4, 1966 in United Hospital to the late Carl John and Mary Elizabeth Farren Peterson. She graduated from Port Chester High School and is a proud alumna of Kings College in Wilkes Barre, Penn. where she earned a BA in Economics.  Mary Ellen began her career in banking at Village Savings Bank in Port Chester and at the time of her death was working for Bank of America in Greenwich, Conn.  Mary Ellen made great friends who were like family to her through every stage of her life.  She was most happy spending time with family and friends and being at the beach. She is survived by her beloved brother John Farren Peterson (Maggie O’Hara) of Port Chester, NY and nephews Carl John Peterson, III of Hartsdale, NY and Michael Owen Peterson (Jessica Sison) of New York, NY.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Carl John Peterson, Jr. and sister-in-law Mary Pecora.

A memorial gathering will be held from 2-5PM on Saturday February 25, 2023 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc.

A prayer service will be held at 4:00pm at the funeral home.
