Michael Joseph Sposato

Michael Joseph Sposato, 79, a resident of Rye Brook, NY died February 28, 2026. He was born March 17, 1946 in White Plains, NY to the late Joseph and Angelina Cassanelli Sposato. He was raised and educated in White Plains graduating from White Plains High School in 1964.

Michael was married to Marie Passerelli on October 26, 1969 at Holy Rosary Church in Port Chester, NY.

He was a sheet metal worker with Local #38 in Brewster, NY. He retired in 2006.

Michael was a parishioner of the Saint Paul RC Church in Greenwich, Ct.

He is survived by his devoted wife Marie Sposato of Rye Brook, NY., his beloved children Claire Gundeck and her husband Michael of Danbury, Ct. and Michael F. Sposato of Rye Brook, NY., grandchildren Jamie Gundeck, Hayley Gundeck and Grace Gundeck and brother Joseph Sposato of Saint Petersburg, Fl.

He was predeceased by his daughter Jamie Sposato.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10AM on Wednesday March 11, 2026 at Saint Paul RC Church 84 Sherwood Ave. Greenwich, Ct.  Interment will follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery Rye Brook, NY.
