Milton Suarez Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Milton Suárez, who departed from this world at the age of 84 on November 23 at home and surrounded by his family. A longtime resident of Port Chester, NY, Milton was a man of keen intelligence and insatiable curiosity. He spent his life pursuing knowledge and sharing his wisdom with everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Born in Uruguay, Milton’s curiosity knew no bounds which led him to explore various fields and interests that enriched his life and those around him. Whether he was delving into archeological mysteries, keeping up with current social and political affairs or engaging in spirited debates, his sharp mind was always at work. Milton was an avid gardener with a green thumb that would rival any professional. He was a dedicated employee at Arnold Bakery in Greenwich, CT for over 50 years. His friendships there carried over into his life post-retirement and he made sure to continue speaking Italian to his fellow amici whenever the opportunity would arise.
For 55 years, Milton was a devoted husband to Yadira. Their marriage was a testament to enduring love and partnership. Together, they built a family and home filled with love and cherished memories.
Milton leaves behind a legacy of love, wisdom, and strength. He is survived by his beloved wife, Yadira Suárez, his children George Suárez, Jonathan Suárez and Michelle Suárez Pedreyra and her husband Marcelo of South Salem, NY and his grandchildren Julian, Marco and Lucas Pedreyra. Together, Milton’s family will carry forward his spirit and tenacity of Garra Charrúa-a determination to never give up and live a life of honor, integrity and humility. In addition, Milton will find peace in knowing that all the gentlemen in his life will continue to proudly cheer for the
national soccer team of Uruguay. La Celeste will always reign passionately at the homestead.
Rest in peace, Papa. Though you leave us, your impact will continue to resonate and will always live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved you. You will simply never be forgotten.
Respectfully, there will be no visitation and funeral services will be privately held.
In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that family and friends donate in Milton’s name to Calvary
Hospital/Calvary@home or the Parkinson’s Foundation.
