Patricia "Patty" (Fiumara) Guthrie

Patricia (Patty) Guthrie (nee Fiumara), 71, a resident of Ridgefield, CT, and a former longtime resident of Port Chester, NY, died January 12, 2025.

She was born March 14, 1953, in New Rochelle, NY, to the late Frank and Angela (nee Nardozzi) Fiumara. Patty was raised in Port Chester and graduated from Port Chester High School in 1971. On May 16, 1981, she married Robert (Bob) Guthrie.

Patty is remembered as a kind, loving, and compassionate soul who brought light and joy to all she met. Everyone who met Patty  always left the exchange with a smile and a brightened day. A devoted member of a large, close-knit family, Patty’s strength and determination were evident in the way she fiercely supported her loved ones and faced life’s challenges with courage. No one fought harder for the people she loved and to maintain her own health. She is an example of strength and fortitude for all she leaves behind.

Patty's greatest joy in life was her family, with her grandchildren holding a special place in her heart. She was a passionate supporter, rarely missing sports games or school events, always cheering from the sidelines with pride, encouragement, and love. Her unwavering commitment to her family and friends will forever be remembered as a testament to her boundless love and selflessness, leaving behind a legacy of cherished memories, heartfelt laughter, and hearts touched by her presence.

Patty is survived by her husband Bob, her beloved daughter Erica Fuller (nee Durden) (Eric) of Ridgefield, CT, son Robert Guthrie (Stacey) of Queens, grandchildren Brooke and Trevor Fuller, sisters Ann Marie DiTomasso (Vincent), Theresa Genova (Nicholas) andbrothers Vincent Fiumara and Joseph Fiumara (Pauline).

We also want to recognize Patty’s nieces Kimberly DiTomasso (Susan Walsh) and Kristen DiTomasso (Corey Krind) and nephews David Genova, Frank Fiumara (Carmella), Vincent Fiumara and Joseph Fiumara. In addition, her great-niece Frances and great-nephews Alex, Jake and Luca.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, 4-8PM at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10AM on Wednesday January 29, 2025, at Parish of Saint John Bosco (Corpus Christi), 136 South Regent St., Port  Chester, NY. Entombment to follow at Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Rye Brook, NY.

Memorial donations in memory of Patty may be made to the Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memphis, TN or to the National Scleroderma Foundation, PO Box411533 Boston, MA  02241-1533.
