Patrick Halpin, 87, a resident of Port Chester, passed away at home surrounded by family, on September 4, 2020. He was born on December 2, 1932 in Ardagh, County Longford, Ireland to the late Thomas and Margaret Halpin. Raised and educated in Ireland, Patrick immigrated to America in 1960, where he met his loving wife, Nora Stephens, whom he married on June 24, 1967 at Our Lady of Mercy Church in Port Chester, NY. Patrick worked as a butcher for many years, and, after retirement, took a job in security working at Tudor Investments in Greenwich, CT. Patrick was a parishioner and usher for many years at Our Lady of Mercy Church in Port Chester, NY, and, more recently, became a parishioner of Saint Paul's RC Church in Greenwich, CT. Patrick was a member of the Port Chester Irish American Association. Patrick is survived by his beloved wife Nora Halpin (neè Stephens) of Port Chester, daughter Patricia Halpin (and spouse, Domenick Vita), of Hawthorne, NY, son John Halpin of New Rochelle, NY, five grandchildren: Jack and Katelyn Vita, and Shane, Reis and Brett Halpin, his sister Mary Kiernan of Ireland, and his brother John Halpin of Greenwich, CT. Patrick was predeceased by his brothers Michael and Peter Halpin, and his sister Brigid Walsh.
Visitation will be 4-8PM on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at Craft Memorial Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10AM on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at St. Paul's RC Church, 84 Sherwood Ave., Greenwich, CT. Entombment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Rye Brook, NY.
