Philip “Phil” Steven Tremble passed away on March 29, 2022 in Greenwich CT with loved ones, who will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest. His battle with serious medical issues in recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite the pain Phil showed strength and courage and came out a hero staying strong until the end. He was a caring and beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend.

Some of his recent hobbies included flirting with the nurses at the nursing home, playing Bingo, blasting the TV and then fighting with his roommate over it.

Born to the late Rose “Rosie” DePaul and the late James “Jimmy” Tremble on September 3, 1948. Philip was raised and raised hell in Port Chester, later graduating from Port Chester High School.

He met the love of his life, Deborah Moran waiting tables at a restaurant in 1975. It was love at first sight and the couple married going on to spend 40 years together raising their family. Together, they had three sons: Phil Jr, Danny and Matt.

Some of his passions were comic books, oldie’s music, barbequing, swimming in the pool, and vacationing at Lake George with his family. His pleasant personality was contagious to everyone he met. It was always his dream to travel to Alaska, although he never made it.

Philip took pride in his work with a keen eye for detail and quality with a great personality towards customer relations in the seafood industry for over 30 years. He shared his passion for work with his children over the years.

After retirement, as a lover of animals you could find him feeding squirrels, ducks and once and a while a random turkey. No dad you can’t shoot the turkeys at Kerbey Lane. We can buy one in the store for Thanksgiving.

Speaking of giving thanks, I would like to thank him for raising 3 sons and all of the hard work that it entailed to give us a better life than he had. Dad always brought humor to the family and taught us so much. Some of my favorite memories are decorating the Christmas tree with you every year and going on the lake with you. Mom waited on shore because she was scared of boats.

The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Phil. A dentists best friend; he would wash down M&M’s with Coca Cola while watching black and white movies. Phil also had a passionate love affair with potato chips, chicken cacciatore, meatballs and sauce, lasagna, pizza and linguine with clam sauce.

A guy who grew up loving classic muscle cars, his motto was live fast, die young and make a good looking corpse. Well dad you made it to 73 but still look pretty damn good.

Anyone else battling his issues would have passed quietly a long time ago. Phil however, went out with a bang: giving nurses a hard time and being very vocal about everything until the end. With the exception of his favorite nurse, that he affectionately called “Grandma”. She was one of his last true friends.

Philip was preceded in death by his father, James Tremble of Yonkers, NY; his mother Rose ‘Rosie” DePaul of Port Chester, NY; his wife Deborah “Debbie” Moran Tremble of Port Chester, NY; and his son Daniel “Danny” Tremble of Port Chester, NY.

Philip is survived by his son, Philip S. Tremble Jr of Rye Brook, NY; his son Matthew Tremble of Port Chester, NY; his granddaughter, Serena Rose Tremble; his granddaughter, Liana Marie Tremble; both of Port Chester, NY and his granddaughter Darcy Tremble of Kings Cross, England.
