Robert "Bobby" "Bob Pec" Pecora, 61 a resident of Rye Brook, NY died unexpectedly after a brief illness on May 23, 2025. He was born April 5, 1964 in Port Chester to Robert and Roberta (Farnsworth) Pecora. He was raised and educated in Port Chester, starting at George Washington School, Corpus Christi School and graduating from Port Chester High School-Class of 1982.
Growing up, Bobby loved riding anything with a motor, from his first minibike and go-kart to later dirt bikes and snowmobiles. From a very young age, his love for cars was crystal clear which he inherited from his father. By the age of 10 he was already wrenching on engines, and before long he had traded in his match box cars for a full life-size collection. Whether it was a rumble of a Harley, the shine of a vintage Camaro, or the classic silhouette of an El Camino, Bobby felt most comfortable around engines and the open road. In his spare time Bobby could
always be found at Musclepalooza, Hershey, Carlisle, Rose Hill and countless other car shows and local cruises.
Bobby was a mechanic, the owner of Bob Pec’s Classics, and he was a proud member of multiple car clubs including Hershey’s, Antique Automobile Club of America, and the Hudson Valley Car Club of Wingdale, NY. Always drawn to the classics, he had a deep appreciation for muscle cars and motorcycles. He was also an avid collector of antique tractors and snowmobiles, each a part of the full-scale collection he built over a lifetime. Additionally, he
found joy in watching old TV shows including Kojak, Columbo, Rockford Files and many others. Bobby was kind, selfless and generous. He was always there to offer his help, had a gentle smile and a compassionate heart. He loved spending time with his family, friends, dinners with Karen, and especially his nephews. He enjoyed taking them to the toy store when they were younger to pick out whatever they wanted, taking them to the movies or out for pizza or burgers.
He was a parishioner of Corpus Christi Church and attended mass weekly.
Bobby was a devoted son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother Joseph and his wife Serina of Rye, NY, sister Wendy Pecora and Robert Balzano of Rye Brook, NY., nephews Joseph, Robert, Christopher and Michael, his aunts JoAnn (John) Sweet of Port Chester and Faith Flynn of New Milford, CT, cousins Regina (David) Allan, Kelly (Michael) Nasti, Robert (Dinae) Mulvey, David Flynn and Kathy Flynn and his friend Diane Knowles and their dog Gemma.
He was predeceased by his grandparents Joseph and Clara Pecora and Robert and Sally Farnsworth.
Bobby was taken from us far too soon, and his absence leaves an empty spot in our hearts that will never fully heal. His laughter, loyalty and love for the open road will never be forgotten. Bobby’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know him, especially in the lives of those he loved the most. The garage is quiet, but your engine still echoes in our hearts.
The family is grateful for the outpouring of love and support they have received.
Visitation will be 4-8PM on Friday May 30th, 2025 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10AM on Saturday May 31st, 2025 at Corpus Christi Church 136 South Regent St. Port Chester, NY. Entombment to follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery Rye Brook, NY
