Ronald Blancato, 91, a longtime resident of Rye Brook, NY, passed away on July 12, 2025.
He was born on August 24, 1933, in Port Chester, NY, to the late Angelo and Nettie Martello Blancato. Ronald grew up in Port Chester and graduated from Port Chester High School. He went on to serve honorably in the United States Army.
Mr. Blancato worked as an electrician with Local #3 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) in White Plains, NY. He took great pride in his work and his union brotherhood.
Ronald was known for his sharp wit, independent spirit, and love of a good drink shared among friends. Whether telling stories or simply enjoying the moment, he lived life on his own terms and with unmistakable character.
He is survived by his longtime love, Julia “Cookie” Spadaro, as well as his nephew Brian Carroll and his family of Goshen, NY. Ronald will be remembered for his strength, loyalty, and the lasting impact he had on those closest to him.
A private funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at Craft Memorial Home. There will be no visitation.
