Rose Caccomo, 98, a lifelong resident of Port Chester, NY passed away peacefully at The Enclave surrounded by family. Rose was born November 12, 1926 in Port Chester to the late Ralph and Vita Marie Christiano Gentile. She was raised and educated in Port Chester graduating from Port Chester High School in 1944.
After graduation she worked for the National Dairy Corporation in New York City. where she made lifelong friends as well as many fond memories. On September 9, 1951 she married Sebastian "Sam" Caccomo and they resided in Port Chester to raise a family.
Rose will always be remembered as a loyal friend, meticulous homemaker, fantastic cook, savvy shopper and most of all the best Mother anyone could hope for.
Rest in peace Mom.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Sam in 1990. She was also predeceased by her two sisters Angie Carriero and Geraldine Gentile.
She is survived by her devoted children, daughter Michaeline Caccomo and sons Paul Caccomo, Charles Caccomo and Ralph Caccomo (Mary Ellen) her sister Barbara Tutera and nieces Paula Cerone, Diane Cerone, Gloria D'Ottavio (Ralph) and Lucy Traverse, M.D. (Bill)
A graveside service will be held 11AM on Friday September 12, 2025 at Saint Mary's Cemetery High St. Rye Brook, NY
