Rose Verrastro, 93, a lifelong resident of Port Cheser died September 12, 2025. She was born November 16, 1931 in Port Chester to the late Frank and Catherine Telesco Paladino. She was raised and educated in Port Chester graduating from Port Chester High School in 1949. She was married to Paul Verrastro on May 21, 1960 at Holy Rosary Church in Port Chester. Mr. Verrastro died September 19, 2000.Mrs. Verrastro was a retired bookkeeper having worked for Irving Marks CPA in Port Chester and John Gentile CPA in Port Chester.
Rose grew up near the Don Bosco Center and had many fond memories of the friends and special times she had there. She was a parishioner of the Parish of Saint John Bosco in Port Chester, NY. Rose was an avid Yankee fan and loved bingo and day trips to the casino.
Mrs. Verrastro is survived by her beloved sons, William Verrastro of Port Chester, NY and Frank Verrastro and his wife Anne of Port Chester, NY., her dear grandchildren Joseph Verrastro and Elizabeth Verrastro, sister, Marge Strom of Ridgefield, Ct. and brother Joseph Paladino and his wife Annabel of Collierville, TN and many special nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 4-8PM on Monday September 15, 2025 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30AM at Parish of Saint John Bosco (Our Lady of Mercy ) 260 Westchester Ave. Port Chester, NY. Interment to follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery Rye Brook, NY
