Roy P. Bauerlein, a longtime resident of Port Chester died October 17, 2021. He was born June 12, 1941 in Englewood, NJ., to the late Henry Hamilton Bauerlein and Emma Alfano Bauerlein. He was raised, educated in Fort Lee, NJ. and graduated from Fort Lee High School. He served in the US Army National Guard. Roy was married on October 17, 1965 to Sadie Santora at Our Lady of The Rosary Church in Port Chester, NY. He was a union laborer for over 50 years with Local 141 in Port Chester. He was the secretary/treasurer and worked on many projects in Westchester County. He was a parishioner of Corpus Christi Church. He was an avid gardener, baker and cook. He enjoyed riding in his '88 convertible mustang that he restored. He also enjoyed traveling with his loving wife to Italy, National Parks and casinos. One of his joys in life was his family. Family was everything to him.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Sadie Bauerlein of Port Chester, NY., his children Gina Tarascio and husband Greg of Port Chester, NY., Roy A. Bauerlein and his wife Charlanne of White Plains, NY. and Heather Harz and her husband Matthew of White Plains, NY., grandchildren Sara Tarascio, Eve Tarascio, Charly Bauerlein, Andre Bauerlein, Oliver Harz and Zachary Harz and brother John Bauerlein of Andover Township, NJ. He was predeceased by his brother Henry Bauerlein.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11AM on Friday October 22, 2021 at Parish of Saint John Bosco 136 South Regent St. Port Chester, NY. Interment is private. There will be no visitation.
Memorial donations in memory of Mr. Bauerlein may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or to White Plains Hospital Center for Cancer.
