Sam V. Salvatore

Sam V. Salvatore, 94, a resident of Rye Brook, NY died February 20, 2020. He was born July 4, 1925 in Port Chester to the late Mauro and Mary Macchia Salvatore.  He was raised and educated in Port Chester. Mr. Salvatore served in the United States Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theater.  He was a manager at the Westchester Country Club in Rye, NY in the Sports House for over 50 years and retired in 1999.  He was married on October 3, 1948 to Rose Marie Paen at Church of the Resurrection in Rye, NY. Mrs. Salvatore died August 11, 2012.  He was a parishioner of the Corpus Christi Church. Sam was an avid golfer.   Mr. Salvatore is survived by his children Mauro Salvatore and his wife Denise, Anthony Salvatore and his wife Marilyn and Judy Mallamo and husband Vincent all of Port Chester, NY, grandchildren Michael Salvatore, Kristy Petrone and husband Daniel, Robbie Duker, Kristine Duker, Taryn Tedesco and husband Michael, Alyssia Mallamo and Vincent Mallamo, great grandchildren Mason and Christian Petrone and Mia Tedesco. sister Josephine Licari of South Carolina. Besides his wife he was predeceased by his brother Louis Salvatore and sister Mary Bologna.  Visitation will be 4-8PM on Sunday February 23, 2020 at Craft memorial Home, Inc. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10AM on Monday February 24, 2020 at Parish of St. John Bosco (Corpus Christi Church) 136 South Regent St. Port Chester, NY. Interment to follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery Rye, NY.
