Santo Fama, 87, a longtime resident of Port Chester, NY died April 10, 2025. He was born May 12, 1937 in Scillia, Reggio Calabria, Italy to the late Vincenzo and Girolama Caratozzo Fama. He was raised and educated in Italy. Mr. Fama was married on August 27, 1961 in Scillia to Serafina DeFranco and they immigrated to the United States.
Mr. Fama was an auto mechanic and was the owner of Four Way Garage in Port Chester. He was a member and past president of the Scilla Cariddi Club in Port Chester. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather to his family.
He is survived by his wife Serafina Fama of Port Chester, NY., his children Lorma Zicca and her husband John of Greenwich, Ct., Vincent Fama and his wife Margaret of Greenwich, Ct., Joseph Fama and his wife Mildred of Greenwich, Ct., and Teresa Fleming and her husband Thomas of Rye Brook, NY., grandchildren Gabriella Zicca, Alexander Zicca, Serena McKeveny, Marissa Green, Julia Fama, Vincent Fama, Joseph Fama, Daniel Fama, Sean Fleming and Sophia Fleming.
Also surviving are his brothers Ugo Fama and his wife Domenica of Rye Brook, NY., Rocco Fama and his wife Maria of Northport, Fl., and sister Antonina Vita and her husband Domenico of Port Chester, NY., Sisters in law Grace Fama of Port Chester, NY., and Catherine Fama of Stormville, NY
Mr. Fama was predeceased by his brothers Giuseppe Fama and Antonio Fama.
Visitation will be 4-8PM on Tuesday April 15, 2025 at Craft Memorial Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30AM on Wednesday April 16, 2025 at Saint Paul RC Church 84 Sherwood Avenue Greenwich, Ct. Entombment to follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery Rye Brook, NY
