Sharon A. Varbero, a lifelong resident of Port Chester died August 19, 2024, she was 81. She was born January 13, 1943 in Port Chester to the late Edward and Mary Burns McDermott, preceded in death by both her siblings, her brother John (Red) McDermott of Port Chester/Greenwich on May 11, 2000 and her sister Maureen (McDermott) Dougherty of Stamford, CT on July 27, 2021. Sharon was raised in Port Chester and graduated from Port Chester High School in 1960. Sharon was the widow of Joseph R. Varbero. They were married for 34 years when he passed on October 15, 2014. She worked as a payroll supervisor for the Rye City School District. She is survived by her beloved daughter Michelle Bartol Kelley and her partner Donald, and her beloved daughter Karen Bartol Casillas and her husband Albert. Sharon also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren Sara, Ashley, Vincent, Mary and Beth, a great granddaughter, Kailani, and 4 nephews. In addition to the people she left behind, her precious little Lexie misses her so, her beloved Pomeranian. She will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be 4-8PM on Sunday August 25, 2024 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 7:30PM. Interment is private.
