Stephanie Turiano passed away peacefully on July 5, 2021, in the company of her three sons, after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. She leaves behind her three sons, Stephen, Gary (Lynn), David (Margaret); and her seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Christina, Tommy, Evan, Courtney, Patrick, and Michael. In Heaven, she joins her parents, Carmin and Carmella; her husband, Augustine; her son, Tommy; and her grandson, Tommy.
Stephanie was born on May 22, 1936 in Mount Kisco, New York. She earned a degree in administration from Alfred University in 1956. She worked at Harris Publishing, where her colleagues appreciated her caring attitude, organizational skills, and warm spirit.
Her true calling, though, was at home on Priscilla Lane, where she welcomed everyone with a big smile and a hearty meal. Whether it was her spaghetti and meatballs, her seven fishes on Christmas eve, or her famous whiskey sours, Stephanie kept her family and friends full of delicious food and lots of affection. She took on the task of raising four energetic boys with love and joy. When faced with hardship, she was the foundation that held her family together. In the last few decades, Stephanie took great pleasure in hosting, feeding, and spoiling her grandchildren. She was most comfortable when caring for her loved ones. Those of us who knew her love and care are luckier for it.
In lieu of flowers, Stephanie’s family requests donations to The Michael J. Fox Foundation fo Parkinson’s Research. www.michaeljfox.org/donate
